The Pilot Doesn't Serve Drinks

Imagine you're in a small plane. Single engine. Loud! You feel all the bumps. You're sitting right next to the pilot.
Guess what? You can see everything — the controls, the instruments, every decision being made in real time. Hands on everything. That's how it works at that scale.
Now imagine a commercial airline. The pilot stays in the cockpit.
You won't see them walking the aisles checking on passengers or restocking the snack cart. If you did, then you'd be scared for your life. Who's flying the plane?
When you were a smaller company, you were that pilot of a small plane. You were in everything. There were bumps, it was hands on, and that's how it works at that scale.
Now, you've grown. The organization is bigger. The complexity is real. But you're still in the aisle handing out peanuts wondering why nothing feels like it used to.
That's hitting the ceiling.
How do you get through this? It's getting out of the way and into your role. It's letting the right people take the right seats.
Visionaries/CEOs, if you are hitting the ceiling, it's a good thing. It means growth and opportunity. It's time to pilot, and you were meant for this!
The cockpit is calling. 👨✈️ 👩✈️
Ready to get back in the cockpit?
